The could easily, it's just not financially viable to mass produce them in that manner. Besides the only place the console war exists is between the shills who get paid to hype up their preferred product, nobody who owns a pc or console actually gives a flying fuck.

My best friend is now buying a graphic card for three times the estimated price of the PS5, he will need a new motherboard because of that, new power adapter...he's paying more than I did for my car and my PS4 Pro combined just to play the same games as me months later when they finally come out for PC

I'm pretty sure most modern consoles are stronger than my PC. PC is not about power, it's about choice and freedom. You can choose to buy a strong one, but that's only one choice.

People just don't get it, PC will always be better in general but for the same price consoles will always win.You can also connect your PC with the TV and play with a controller, it's all a question about the money.

The PS2 have so bad performance, still some of my best gaming memories. Nintendo 64 was fucking awesome! The PS3 was a great blue Ray player then, so was worth it. Switch is fun as hell at parties.. And competitive gaming is for pc, yes

A 300 $ console is miles better than any 300$ pc you may build. And that's the point of consoles, at their own price point they beat pc hands down. Comparing a console to a high end pc is just as dumb as comparing your VW Golf to a Ferrari.

No, they were supposed to be cheap so general population can buy it and play. So what you want about how PC is the best, its not denying that the cost of building it can up to 3-5x times the price of PS, not to mention the maintenance and all that, PC is also easily broken by minor things. While consoles were made to be durable and not needing any maintenance, so it wont be a bother to people with the lack of tech knowledge
